You can try the following:
- Make sure your Current Java is fully up-to-date.
- Make sure you have the correct specs e.g at least 125 mb RAM to play the game.
- Make sure that you are connected to the internet, or that it isn't experiencing difficulties.
- Check the Runescape homepage to see if Jagex have news that would relate to the server not connecting.
If none of these do not solve your problem that it may just be your laptop/computer can't play Runescape.

∙ 13y agoPeople can only not log on to Runescape when their are doing improvements to their entire server. This lasts for around an hour before you are able to log back in.
Also, they will sometimes close certain worlds.
