It could be either a bad water pump or a clogged hose or a bad heater core or it could be a clogged or bad radiator.

Not programmed? Constant HOT feed not supplied? Defective radio? Option not available on that radio?

If your Ford Contour 2000 keeps leaking water and its anti-freeze, you will need to repair your head gasket.

Take the radiator cap off when it is cold and check the fluid level. Just because the recovery tank is full does NOT mean that the radiator is.

It could be a stuck thermostat. If the thermostat is not opening fully it will not allow the coolant to move freely through the engine, making it run hotter than normal.

Same thing that causes other fuses to blow. Too much current through the fuse. A hot wire short to ground. Possibly a short made from a water leak.

It will tell you on the stick, either "check hot" or "check cold", running or not.

Blow on it. If that doesn't work, turn the engine off.

Most likely your AC just needs service, All it needs is some freon, Seems like when it starts running low it blows hot air from right to left as it gets low.

A 1999 Explorer could be running hot for several reasons. The thermostat could be stuck. Coolant could be low. The cooling fan could be bad, or the water pump could have failed.

IIRC, it's 0.016". Valves must be set hot, with the engine running.

water pump bad if u over heat with no heat or air in system remove cap or get it re filled

I had the same thing happen on a 1998 ford contour se and it was the water temperature sensor. If you unplug it and the gauge gos all the way to cold, then you plug it in, and right back to hot, its surely the temp. sensor. All that you will have to do then is go to the lcal parts store, buy one, unscrew the old one and screw the new one in and walla. See if the fan is working, if it is, it could be the thermostat.

The fan motor keeps running because there is a thermostatic switch that powers it. If it's still hot, the fan will continue to run.

if the engine is running hot your fuel stopper may be bad and it's doing what is called dieseling or running backwards!
