They are completely different. The Gold card is for those who want perks such as Travel Insurance, points, etc. The Scotialine VISA is a low rate card with interest rates based on Prime (depending on your credit rating) The Gold is over 18% so you would only want this card if you were not going to carry a balance. There is also a fee and no fee version of the Gold card. If you want travel perks then you will have to ante up for the annual fee version.
