That depends on what you define as 'above', in the literal sense then everything in the known universe lies above the earth. However, if you mean what lies directly above the north pole, which is perhaps the only way of defining 'above', then, from Earth, there are only a few stars, the most significant and well known of which being Polaris.
The stratosphere lies above the troposphere. It extends from about 12 to 50 kilometers above the Earth's surface and contains the ozone layer, which helps absorb ultraviolet radiation from the sun.
