Usually there is a diagram under the hood either by the radiator or the hood itself.
There should be a diagram either on the inside of the hood or on the crossmember in front of the radiator.
Disconnect the battery, remove the serpentine belt and remove the bolts, disconnect the electrical connection and remove. Reverse the procedure to install.

There is a tensioner that is easily moved with a 1/2" socket or breaker bar. Release the tension, and the belt will come right off. Route the new belt around the pulleys, push down on the tensioner again, and route the belt around the tensioner pulley. A very simple job that should take no more than 5 minutes to do. You can find more Mark VIII repairs at www.markviii.org.
The belt tensioner should have a area to place a bar or ratchet into. As you pry backwards, you release tension on the belt and it will slide off. Watch how the belt runs before you remove it. Mark
I used a breaker bar for the tension pulley to relieve the tension to remove the belt, I think there are three bolts that hold the tension pulley on, just remove them and reverse the procedure to install. Follow the diagram that is either on the inside of the hood or on the radiator cover on how to thread the belt back on the pulleys.
They have a tensioner that automatically tightens the belt, maybe yours needs to be changed or you need a new belt.
The Mark Vlll transmissions will fit from 93-95 without re-pinning the electrical plugs.
Should have spring loaded automatic belt tensioner--if not working may be defective
The Lincoln Mark VII has side lock wiper arm attachments. See Sources and Related Links below for installation videos. Also, purchase the replacement blades first and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages. Its very easy.
