According to Jesus Christ, loving God and putting Him first is more important than anything. So the answer to your question is "yes". That doesn't mean you have to choose one or the other. You can do both at the same time. But ABOVE ALL ELSE, love and be thankful to the One who gave you that family and everything you have.
