A vegetarian should get 2-4 servings of dairy a day, just like a non-vegetarian should.
If you do become a vegetarian, it would be in your best interest to get some supplements. I take an iron supplement, because you get very little when you don't eat meat. Just go to your local health food store - or see your doctor - and they should be able to tell you some other important things you should get if you go vegetarian.
The fact you are a vegetarianis no one's business unless you choose to tell them. If someone invites you out to eat or go to their home to eat then you will have no choice, but to tell them you are a vegetarian. Many people are vegetarians so there should be no problem.
It is all up to personal choice, and there are benefits / negatives asects that go along with both sides.
