It depends. A ten year old should only get a cell phone if they are responsible enough to have one. or if they take the bus, or both. you should give your child a cell phone for there birthday. but if you are worried, then surprise them by getting them a phone! They would be soo exited to have a cell phone.
Honestly it depends on the situation. If your kid is in at least 5th grade then I say sure. I also say its completely necessary if the kids' parents are divorced. I say yes. I got my phone when I was 10, but I had the pay phone. Never get a pay phone. They suck!
Yes because maybe your child has a Baseball game and your sick so you drop her off you tell her call me when the games over then you no where she is and when she calls you go get her. A nother reason is if your at the store and shes sees somthing and you don't see her she could call you and tell you. The best kind of phone would be a scoop , a Motorola Rival, a lg rythm, a blackberry and a blackberry pearl.
Yes, as long as the parent teaches the 10 year old how to properly use it. The cellphone can be very useful because as a parent you have access to your child at all times. The child can also use it in times of danger.
I suggest that you don't choose a phone plan with internet as money can often be wasted away liek that and also that you get pre-paid. With pre-paid you give them credit of say.. 30 dollars, you can manage the money they spend and can just top it up when they have no more credit.
You should let your ten year old ave a cell phone.
When I was ten I got a cell phone because my parents knew I should use it for important calls like 911 or to call my parents if I went to a friends house.
Then as my parents saw I became more responsible I was allowed to download apps go on the web and text my friends when I am bored.
Yes they deserve one. If there is an emergency thay can call parents. Also they have fun on them.
If the 10 year old is trust worthy and can keep track of their stuff
NOOO.i don't think a 10 year old should get a phone because there are risks to nhaving a cell phone like if there is enternet then they can get involved in stuff that the parents won't know about and then they will start texting and then their life will be revolved around texting. Then they might get bullied or peer presuered about the type of fone they got or telling them to sneak out at night or something bad. They could take it to school and do inapropriate stuff on the phone like recordings and then take it to school and show their classmates and you don't know if that kids parents would approve of them watching that stuff and then sue or something. There are endless possibilities to what could happen to giving your 10 year old a phone. But on the other side you might want to give them a phone to make emergency calls like if they are in trouble or if their at a party and need to come home and their frieand doesn't have a phone . then they have no way to contact you until you drive over there to pick them up. But i say no until they are at least 13 because i am about to turn 15 in a couple of weeks and i didn't get my first phone until i was 14 because i was in a marching band and the band was going everywhere like lots of mile away and i needed a way to contact my parents to tell them that i was okay and all this other stuff.but ultimatley it is your decision to make if you want your kid to have a phone this early or not.
yes because they start going to sleepovers and things. You should want to be able to contact them. At this age, they have friends that want to contact them also.
No. Wait until he/she is 13.
yes
yes, many do.
no that's way to young!
Not many. The average age is 18-24 years old who use the cell phone most. They used 1300 total hours on the phone. The next was 25-36 year olds with 970 total hours on the phone.
Cell phones were called car phones in the year 1980.
He died before cell phones came out.
A lot of cell phones are made a year but I don't know the exact # of cell phones though
Yes, a lot of phones by Motorola come with a password function for parents to set for their children. Although there are cellphones for children not made by Motorola that have better security for children.
55%of cell phones get stolen at schools in a year
Phones or microscopic biological material?
I know 7-8 year olds with phones, and i got my phone when i was 10. So yes! But, i think its more up to your parents, as they have to pay for it!
