I myself am trying to start one. Honestly I believe it depends on where you live. I live in Arkansas and they are drilling for oil in this area so dump trucks are in high demand. Owner operators here where I live are getting paid close to $80 per hour to haul dirt for these oil people. I'm looking to see how much funding its gonna take to start. I have been raised around trucks my whole life. Its the first thing I ever drove( not even a car first). I drove my uncle's Peterbilt from Lubbock, TX back home my first day. OTR isn't what I want to do though because there isn't any money in it. In my opinion, you should check around and see what the going rate in your area is and if it feels right go for it. I don't think anybody can make the decision for you. A lot of people have told me that its a bad idea but my uncle doesn't even own his truck, he drives for somebody else and brings in a nice bank so think if you own one. Yea operating costs are going to get you but at $60+/hour you should be able to cover your costs and still keep a good chunk of change to pay other bills or even have money in your pocket. you just have to figure out if its worth it and if it feels right. Like I said I'm trying to research on what it will take to start so if you got anything that may help please let me know. Thanks
A portable a/c unit would have about the same cooling power as a wall unit. They can weight between 30 and 100 lbs., but may be outside of this range for some models.
"I am assuming you are talking about about a haul away service. In this case you really only need a truck, a phone number, a helper, and initiative. Starting your own business is hard, but rewarding."

As your hauling truck is being put under much strain, it does lose value quicker than one which has done less work.
A truck is a large and heavy motor vehicle designed for work such as hauling freight by road.
Usually U-Haul has the lowest rates, they can start at $19.95 for local hauling plus mileage.
A light truck tire is most useful for smaller pick up trucks and small SUVs. If you are not hauling a lot and just using the truck for driving around and hauling small items a light truck tire would be fine.
The best pickup truck for pleasure, as opposed to business depends on what it will be used for. For hauling and muddy roads, a truck with a large payload and wide wheel base is ideal.
Most semi trucks are able to do long hauling. You should choose a relatively new truck that fits your budget.
Turn the key on do not start the truck then push the gas petal all the way to the floor 3 times...then start it the light should go off Turn the key on do not start the truck then push the gas petal all the way to the floor 3 times...then start it the light should go off Turn the key on do not start the truck then push the gas petal all the way to the floor 3 times...then start it the light should go off
If you cant get a truck driving job, you should try applying to local hauling companies such as Knight Hauling Inc., Blackfish Enterprise Inc, Wilmington Asphalt, LLC and Simpkins Hauling Inc
A performance truck may be helpful in your hauling needs. If you are towing a large item, like a 5-wheel camper or large recreational trailer, it will do better on the road. If you are looking to tow a small boat with a trailer, a performance truck may not be necessary.
