No,i think that's a very early age for children to be engaged in or concern themselves with such issues.But also it will depend on the understanding of the child and what kind of approach the parents will take.

∙ 12y agoI think that it is OK for a 6th grader to have a boyfriend just as long as they don't make it to serious!! If you have a girl just make sure that your there for her if they do break up because it will probably be her first love and she will be very upset even if she doesn't put up that front!!
