A business letter should be concise and to the point; there is seldom a need for a business letter to be two pages.
When there is too much wording to a business letter, the point of the letter can be unclear or camouflaged. A sales letter, a resume cover letter (which is a sales letter), a product, a pricing, or contract inquiry or request, etc. that have many specifications to include should have those specifications or product information on an attachment to the letter, such as the resume, a product or contract specification sheet and with only highlights of the attachment(s) included in the body of a letter.
A business letter that is word dense is much less effective than a letter containing just enough to direct the mind of the recipient to the result that is the intent of the letter.
Sentence length is important to ease of reading in any document. It is even more important to be concise in a business letter. The average sentence length of a business letter should be between 12 and 15 words.
Write a.k.a. is fine as long as it doesn't start the sentence or paragraph.
depends on the size and weight Right now stamps are 44 cents for every 10 pages of a normal Business Letter envelope. So if this is 10 pages and LESS you will need one 44 cent stamp. If it is more you will want to put extra stamps on it. Best thing to do take the letter to the post office and mail it if you can they will weigh it and give you an exact accurate weight to mail it. As long as it is in a business envelope, long envelope and not a manila envelope or box. It is that for 10 pages or LESS 44 cent stamp.
The content of a business letter delivers the message, but it is just as important to be familiar with the physical appearance of a letter. The way a letter looks influences how the recipient will perceive the company. As the saying goes, first impressions count - and might we add - last a long time! There are about 10-12 components of a letter as seen below (link resources) http://thebusinessletters.blogspot.com/2014/07/standard-components-of-business-letter.html
It is sometimes said in the business world that time is money. In other words, people have to be paid for their time. Even if a manager does not charge the company by the hour, still, managers have only so much time available to do useful work for the company. Therefore, the time spent reading and dealing with business letters does cost money. Someone has to be paid to do it. If you can be concise in your letter, you will consume less time, and allow greater efficiency in dealing with your letter. I would add that if your letter is excessively long and boring, it is quite possible that the recipient won't even be willing to read it. We all have lots of things to do, and we need to get on with our work, not to bog down in an interminable letter. Personal letters are different. They can be entertaining, because you are presumably writing to someone who is interested in you as a person. A business letter is not like that. It exists only for business purposes, not to be entertaining.

There are no exact numbers of pages that result in an appropriate business plan. In fact, you will never have a super plan, as it should be a living document and frequently evolving. Focus on just the records and details of what’s essential for the success of your small business.
