I think a guy should be a little more aware of the place she has put him. Saying only hi tells you that well she isn't that much of a friend or that maybe she doen't really know that much to strike up a conversation. Try to talk more to her if you really like her ( that's if you always casually say hi to her) bemore out there and try to be more outgoing around her, get to know her to.
