No, there is no light on the mirror.
The light reflects on the mirror
When light hits a mirror, it usually bounces off it.
parabolic mirror is used in search light
Usually, the mirror is 75% (3/4) the width of the vanity. Then, your light should be 3/4 the size of your mirror. Many people use a 24-inch light with a 36-inch mirror, which is a little smaller than the 75% rule, but still okay.

On lighted vanity mirrors you want to use a vanity mirror light bulb. The bulb is very round where the light is produced and is not very long.
Mount the box one to two inches above where the top of the mirror will be.

To replace the light bulbs in the sun visor vanity mirror on a 1991 Ford Escort LX, the mirror will have to be replaced. This part does not have replacement bulbs readily available. If the bulbs are not working it is a problem with a fuse as these run off the battery and are on the same circuit as the interior lights.
For Bathroom fixtures you can do lights above the vanity or you could even consider a sky light for natural light.
It's a matter of owner preference, but typically it's centered over the vanity cabinet. * or you can build a valence box that runs full length with lighting inside it, and forgo the centering
Depends on what type mirror and light you are going to install. If you do not know at this time just pull the wire into the wall, and leave it hanging down about 1 foot above the center of the sink above the counter top inside the wall cavity. Once you install the counter top, pick the mirror, and light, you can cut a hole in the drywall and install a pop-in box and pull the wire out. A plastic pop-in box will easily hold most bathroom lights. If you know the size mirror and light combination. Mount the light box above the mirror so as the bottom of the light is about 1" above the top of the mirror. The light itself not the light mounting base. You do not want the light shining into the mirror.
Yes, definitely! I have a 2010 Toyota Rav 4 with very low miles that suddenly had dead batteries after sitting only 1-2 days. Putting a new battery in the car did not solve the problem.I had the car towed to my Toyota dealer, who could find nothing wrong with the car after testing it for a week. They charged the battery, and I drove it home.Because of the heat of summer, I placed sunshades in the windshield and noticed for the first time when I put the driver-side visor down, that the vanity mirror light came on. The cover over the mirror was open, so I closed it. The light went off. I have not had any problems since.I confirmed with a mechanic that the vanity mirror light could indeed drain the battery in 1-2 days. LESSON LEARNED
The interior light on an 87 cabriolet is located above the mirror just above the windshield.
