Go for a binocular.
Since you mentioned you are an amateur, I would suggest you first read up a lot about telescope and the variety of lenses, before you invest in it. Telescopes are very expensive these days and also you need to buy certain accessories along with it.
Once you have read about the gadget, enroll yourself at any astronomical club, where you can use a telescope to star gaze.
Alternatively, instead of spending money on one telescope, you can go for a space camp, where you'll get to handle various hi-fi telescopes. There you'll also get hands-on astronaut training. hence you will get a broader overview and a first hand knowledge of space and astronomy, which i think is a great opportunity for any space lover! well check out this link if you're interested .... http://spacecampindia.com/
If you aren't going to be serious about setting up the telescope and going out to watch the skies, then the money you would spend on a good telescope would be wasted. (There is absolutely no point in buying a cheap telescope!)
Download the free Stellarium planetarium program, and this will let you know what to look for in the sky.
It doesn't really matter if you have any knowledge of astronomy; you'll learn.
Galileo was the first to use the telescope for astronomical observation. Galileo based his telescopes on ones he saw Dutch sailers on trading ships using. So you have to go back to the Netherlands to find earlier telescope makers/users. It is likely the Dutch may have adapted the idea from someone else before them.
Yes, Saturn is readily visible to the naked eye. But you can't see the rings and moons without a telescope.
look at the instructions or just ask someone to make it for you like who doesn't know that
knowledge monger
= = It is a planet, and a very large one at that. It is one of the gas/ice giants.
You can get a good quality portable telescope for about $200Anything from $20 up to millions of dollars. But I wouldn't buy a really cheap one as it could put you off astronomy for life! If you were going to buy one yourself, I'd get advice from someone at a local Astronomy Society.
You can purchase binocular accessories online from stores such as Cabelas. Alternatively, you can also purchase these accessories from retailers such as Amazon.

An astronomer is a scientist who studies stars, galaxies, and other celestial objects.
I can think of 2: ASTRONOMER: someone who studies galaxies, stars, constellations and absalutely everything about space. SPACE SCIENTIST: someone who generally knows about space and not detailed astronomy.
An 'astronomer' is someone who practices astronomy, ie. the study of celestial bodies (stars, planets, galaxies etc.) either on a professional level or as a hobby.
A telescope is a device that either refracts and magnifies the picture, or reflects images and magnifies them as well. One can buy a children's telescope at website like eBay and Amazon.
Well, I'm one of those people who is obsessed about Astronomy. Someone who is keen to find out the answers to the big questions in life. Someone who thinks about them a lot and is fascinated by the numerous possibilites of unexplained phenomenons out there. Someone, who likes solving mysteries, but strange ones. Someone who is intrigued by the idea of there being a possibility of life out there and a God. Someone who is interested in Religious Education is the most likely person to be interested in Astronomy.

a bit of knowledge means less knowledge (to someone) bit of knowledge a material which gives knowledge
Someone or something that posses' a superiority of knowledge: like Albert Einstein. or someone who is well versed in a certain subject.
