Is this a parenting question? I'll assume so. Promoting healthy eating with young children is simple as you are their lone provider of food. If you want your kids to eat better, don't buy them junk food, simple as that. There's no reason to encourage unhealthy eating. It's fine for children to eat between meals, but there's no reason why that can't be a healthy granola bar, a small sandwich or a piece of fruit.
