Regular teachers should be able to do a credible job of teaching sex to students if they are knowledgeable and comfortable with the subject. Speaking to what students want do know and NEED to know is essential.
I personally think that a teacher who is specialized in teaching sex ed should. mainly becasue they have more teaching experience then a the "ordinary" teacher does, but also, they would be able to relate it more accuratly, or child like to kids who wouldn't understand it if spoken in adult form. The heath teacher who taught me sex ed was able to relate it better to what he was teaching in his class. Like how you grow through puberty and when a girl becomes pregnant and how this all brings changes in your physical form and your health which, I personally think, made sence. Its pretty hard for a math or English teacher to teach sex ed. many kids would become bored becasue you need to compare the teachings to what your class is mainly about. Example would be teaching sex ed through math equations. It would be confusing and completely unintresting and completely off topic. also, it would be hard for an ordinary English teacher to relate sex to literature, unless they are on the topic of Romeo and Juliet considering that's mainly the only story you read that openly states them having sexual relations during grade school.
