Should silk infusion be put on the hair when wet or dry before flat ironing it makes my hair smell burnt you have turned down my flat iron but still smells burnt you do no get this smell with other pr?

Chi Silk Infusion can be used on wet or dry hair. I would suggest using it on wet hair before you use your blow dryer to smooth, soften and relax your hair before you blow dry. Then when hair is 100% dry, use your flat iron to straighten your hair. Your hair should already be protected from applying the Silk Infusion earlier.
Then after you straighten, you can use a tiny bit more silk infusion to smooth the style and eliminate any fly-aways. If you want to use a product while you straighten, I'd suggest trying a thermal protecting spray like CHI 44 Iron Guard.
