Yes. Dont forget that president Frederick D. Roosevelt served four terms during World War 2. It doesnt matter if it was during the war, He shouldn't get special treatment because of it

well, what if we have a horrible president who is running to be celebrity, and he runs for a third term? we could end up being stuck with him for 12 years, when 8 may be ENOUGH!!!

∙ 10y agoNo- that is why the 22nd amendment was added to the Constitution. It had been an unwritten rule that the President would serve only 2 terms, but Roosevelt broke it so it became the law.

∙ 13y agoA. I believe they should. If you have a U.S President that is doing a good job, why would you limit them to only two terms. Whatever happened to "Give the people what they want..." If we, as a nation believe in one person to do a job, and the job is being done well, then what is the problem?! I think it sucks!!

∙ 13y agoUS presidents have always been allowed to serve more than one term and several have done so. In fact, it is something of a black mark for a president to be voted out after just one term except perhaps when,like Polk and Hayes, they make it clear in advance that they will only serve for one term.

∙ 11y agoThis sounds like an essay question to a homework assignment. After Franklin D. Roosevelt served three full terms and a few months of a fourth (until he died), many Republican lawmakers wanted to make an official limit to the number of terms a President can serve. This law became the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution. However, this limit on terms backfired on the party because it prevented Presidents such as Eisenhower and Reagan from continuing for additional terms.

It was an unwritten lawf from the beginning that Presidents would not seek a third term, but Franklin Roosevelt broke the rule, so people saw they needed to make it a written rule and began the difficult process for amending the Constitution.
