having your tire pressure right in the winter is important because you want to keep as much rubber on the road as possible. so when you do air your tires if it says MAX PRESSURE WHEN COLD 55 PSI then fill it to about 47 psi. air is alot less dense at lower temperatures. so your tirers will look pumped up on a hot day a flat on a cold day. having a tire over inflated makes you high center on the middle of the tires sometimes leaving you with 3 inches or less wide tread that is actually even touching the ice roads.(not good)
