no, the oil is mixed with the gas before it goes in the carb, so there should never be oil sitting in the crankcase.
Transmission Oil SE Class SAE 10W30 or 10W40 - Capacity 0.8 liter - Level M/C vertical, wait 5 min., the level will be the middle of in window
660 cm2
there is a site glass on right side of engine about mid ways of brake petal Where should the oil leve be in the site glass when the oil level is full?
Could be worn valve guides ,crankcase filter plugged or bad rings Hope this helps
There is no dipstick on this bike. Instead, there is a sightglass on the right side of the crankcase. You may have to use a flashlight to see the oil level through the sightglass. With the bike on the center stand, the oil level should be around the middle of the sight glass "window". Some people have made their own dipsticks to use in these bikes.
I have an 1980 Yamaha Enticer 250 (ET250D). Here's what the sticker under the hoods says...The oil capacity for the "Chain Case" is 15.21 oz (or 450 cc).If you are talking about the engine crankcase, there is no oil in the crankcase of a two-stroke engine. It is lubricated by the oil that is mixed into the gas.I am not sure what weight oil to use. The dealer told me to use Yamaha Chain Case Oil (but he didn't know the weight of the oil).Hope this helps!TK
There is a sight gless on the left side of the motor crankcase. Stand the bike up level and hav a friend view the oil level in the sight glass. It should fill the sightglass to th3e halfway point,
The Yamaha Virago 535 has a circular window on the front left side of the crankcase, immediately behind the shift linkage. The bike needs to be held upright (second person) and then the use of a flashlight helps see the level in the window. Level should be approximately center of the window.
Through the sight glass on the left side of the engine, low, near the footpeg. Hold the bike upright, on level ground, and the oil should be a little more then 1/2 way up the sight glass. Visit ZL-OA.com for all things Eliminator related!
You should ensure that you have the antifreeze/coolant level at it's recommended level. If it seems to be low all of the time you have a breech in your gasket system allowing the coolant to leak into the oil crankcase or into the cylinder head and out through the exhaust system.
Place the bike in a true vertical position by having a friend holding it. Then unscrew the dipstick, located on the right of the crankcase. Wipe it with a clean cloth, then dip it in and read the oil level. The level should be between maximum and minimum. This goes for all other motorcycles provided they have a dipstick.
Crankcase pressure build-up or oil level too full. See your local mechanic.
