No matter what generation there is a silent code amongst women especially that one does not date the same man nor do they flirt or try to initiate in any way a personal relationship with her husband. It is fine to give your husband a hug around the neck and a peck on the cheek, but it is not acceptable for your friend to have kissed him on the lips. Your husband was a gentleman and did the best he could without embarrassing your friend or others so he should be given a medal and it is your responsibility to tell your friend that you do not appreciate her behavior and never to do it again.
