You should use only Honda genuine transmission fluid. You can get a gallon of it at your local Honda dealer and change it yourself.
You can change a Honda Civic HX transmission to a manual transmission. It is not an easy job to do.

Honda recommends changing it at 100,000 miles. I personally recommend you change it every 75,000 miles. The 2003 Honda Accord had problems with the transmission so I would recommend this as a preventative measure.

You should change your transmission fluid between 125000 km to 150000 km with the filter for an automatic . and the same for a standard without the filter . because there is no filter required for a standard transmission .
