A Dodge Dynasty has a high battery drain when the key is turned off is this a common problem on older Dynasty's?

this was a common occurance on my 93 dynasty, i started disconnecting the positive battery terminal and it seemed 2 correct it'self! i think a relay was sticking and by disconnecting it it seemed to force it to drop out! there are a ton of courtesy lights on the dynasty. battery warehouse installed a smaller amperage battery and this was the most likely reason, not enough power for all the wipers, heater,ac,power windows and the 8 courtesy lamps. i bought a blade type battery disconnect, from advance auto this made the disconnect simple and reliable. might be a weak alternator/regulator or dirty battery terminals, can't charge properly since the resistance of the corrosion tricks the regulator into thinking the charge is higher than it is. hope this helps! :)

Does a car radio turn off when you get in a crash?

If it is bad enough, if the battery/cables get damaged. Also some cars have special battery terminals that disconnect the battery in a severe crash to prevent fires/etc. BMWs have it, is called the BST (battery safety terminal).

Can the battery in a 2000 Lexus LS400 be changed without going to a garage or dealership?

yes, but you need an adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter. attached to the adapter is a 9volt battery. plug that into the lighter before disconnecting the cables to the car battery. that adapter w/ the 9 volt battery attached to it will keep just enough voltage in the cars computer system to allow you to change the cars battery. w/o that adapter when you disconnect the old battery and reconnect the new battery the cars onboard computer system will default and blow several fuses. go to an auto parts store and rent the adapter for a few bucks.

What will cause no power to fuel pump relay and the relay is good auto shut down relay has power though?

There should be some oversized fuses in a fuse block under the hood. Often they are on the firewall, behind a cover or near the battery in a fuse box. It's all just a guess since there isn't enough information to figure out what's really going on. There is a "lock out" in the control module. Disconnect the battery. disconnect the control module. Wait. reconnect the control module. reconnect the battery. Voltages should be correct.

Who do you take a battery out of a 1991 Chrvy Lumina van?

First you have to disconnect the metal brace going over top of the battery,it's usually has three bolt's in the front where your headlight's are. Then you can swing the bar out enough, to get to the battery hold down bolt, and removal is pretty much easy.
