I am not all that familiar with propane but it seems to me that you would use up those two tanks in a very brief period of time. Your heater would have to be converted to use propane and you would have to have a regulator or two for those tanks. Not a good idea. If this is something you feel that you have to do then I hope that you have more thank adequate insurance coverage not only for your home but any home near you. If you live in a wooded area consider the fire that would ensue that could take our hundreds of acres of property. You can be held liable for your actions.

How safe is propane furnces. Is it a good choice to change from oil to propane?

it is quite safe, propane gas does not explode. you should know how propane smell and should leave the house once you smell it. Gas doesn??t burn as hot as oil therefore propane isn't looking particularly economical. although propane is cleaner.in addition it is so much quieter, there is no oil smell. if you looking to save money do not change otherwise propane is a very good choice

Propane Water Heater?

First, there are two major types of frozen regulators: internal and esternal. Internal: This freeze-up is usually caused by a high flow of propane through the hose in some of the larger capacity grills. If all the burners are on and there is a high humidity day, you may fnind the regulator and hose assemblies "frosted over". If you shut down the grill (If it hasn't already stopped) the problem will resolve itself. When you restart the grill, either lower the teperature of the burners or shut some of them off. Either will reduce the propane flow and should resolve your problem. External: If you have a regulator frozen in winter, you will have to warm it up, preferably in doors so that it can dry as well. DO NOT USE FLAME! Although this is probably a job for professionals, either an electric heating pad, one of those heating pads that you put in a microwave, or a heat lamp directed at it may do the trick. Remember that you have to assume that there will be gas flowling during the entire warm-up period, so NO SOURCE of IGNITION should be near by.
