Puppies are like human babies and you should phone your vet for a formula if the puppies are still feeding from the mother or she can't feed them. If they are eating puppy food now, then no, you should give them milk because it can cause diarrhea in puppies (or kittens.)
I'm sorry, but i disagree with the above answer. I raised Great Pyrenees puppies for 22 years and I always fed my puppies extra milk and it did not give them dirrhea. Wormy pups are the ones that have the dirrhea because the parasites keep the intestines distressed and anykind of food change will cause this. If it's a big litter especially, even though mom is still feeding them the extra milk helps take the load off of her.
I had puppies when I was younger whose mom died the vet we contacted said we could use milk but in a recipe for puupie milk.......heres how to make it
One cup milk
One egg
one tbsp oil
mix this and feed through a dropper or you can get a bottle from a ranch store made for livestock.
goats milk is always a safe choice
Cows milk is bad for puppies and dogs. You can buy special 'Puppy milk' from the supermarket.
you should introduce sold foods slowly to puppies, with milk and water give them a little then once there ok with the difference from just milk give them more. they should be ok.
dont even give puppies milk give them water there not cats Young puppies do need milk to survive but cow milk is not good for them. They need either milk re-placer made for puppies or goats milk. Cow milk is hard for them to digest and they will not do well on it. If you search the internet there are several recipes for home made milk re-placer for pups. It is challenging to bottle raise puppies but it can be done.
older dogs seem to tolerate milk, but for puppies cows milk is 100 percent fatal if ingested. the safest type og milk even for old dogs or puppies is goat milk.
I'm not a dog expert but I don't think that giving young puppies water should be advised, let them drink from their mother, if you don't have a mother with the puppy give him milk, unpasteurised is probably best.
You shouldn't need to, the Bitch should be capable of making all the milk required from just her food. Although if there's any doubt about this, you should consult your Vet.
I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but I know that a dog replacement milk is a milk that can be use to give to puppies when the mom can't produce enough milk or when the mom is no longer alive. Puppies are not allowed to drink milk except for this milk.
Yes.It's very healthy for your dogs to drink milk daily. It's healthy for puppies to drink milk, but once they're weaned you should not give them milk. As dogs get older, they lose the ability to digest lactose properly. Though puppies are better at digesting lactose, milk (and other lactose items) should be eliminated almost completely from their diets once they wean.

no
no, you can't give puppies kitty milk mix .
Cows milk, chicken bones.
Well their mothers yes. But if you want to give them cow milk than it may not be good for them. But if your planning on giving them milk later on, then start when they are about 6weeks old because most dogs get diarrhea and some get sick. Therefore, its better to get them used to the milk early on.
