If you do not you will never have a future with him as he will just gamble all his money away. Give him the ultimatum that he gets professional help (and be sure he is doing so) or you are breaking up with him. If you not take this drastic step then he will only ruin your life. Some addictive gamblers will steal from family or friends to get money to gamble or, worse yet, he may owe a lot of money to the wrong people who will be sure he pays up or worse things can happen to him.
