The same as the floor vacuum inside the house but instead of it sucking air it sucks water through the filter. Just run the pool hose from the pool vacuum to the vacuum plate over the top of the leaf basket. then turn on the pump and runi t along the floor of the pool.

You could use your pool pump. or get a submersible pump. it is also not difficult to siphon an above ground pool with a pool vacuum hose. all you need is somewhere to run the water to.

When you put floculant in the pool you do not run the pump. you let the pool sit still for about two days. This will allow it to settle. After that time you will notice that there Is a cloudy area at the bottom of the pool. This is the floculant and all the contaminants that it has dragged down to the bottom as it settled. This will need to be vacuumed to waste DO NOT PUT THIS STUFF THROUGH THE FILTER,(VACUUM IT TO WASTE.) It's ok to pump it but not to run it through the filter.

The amount of time the pump should run for any pool will depend on a few things. Hotter seaons will require your pump to run about 8 hours. Running your pump in hotter seaons also require that the pump runs during the hottest part of the day. You may cut the hours to about 6, or as low as 4 during winter. Please keep in mind "bather load" or heating the pool in the winter can effect the hours your pump should run. During winter pump should be ran at night to avoid freezing of pipes
