It is not harmful so there is no reason to avoid it. Some propose it as a folk remedy for high blood pressure in pregnancy but there is no evidence to support this and I find it a claim that is hard to believe.
If you are having high blood pressure in pregnancy and want to try it there is little potential for harm as long as you also follow your doctor's advice. You should not rely on it instead of other advice from your doctor.
