It is recommended that you should use new hardware because of the rust and wear and tear on the old hardware. If your looking to be as economically mindful as possible then you can use the old ones, but it also a lot easier to just get new ones and install them

How should a new bumper be installed on a 2004 Honda CR-V?

I rear-ended a Porsche 996 Turbo in my CR-V. Replacing the front bumper cover takes about ten minutes and involves unscrewing the visible fasteners and basically yanking the thing off. If you hit something, be sure to verify that other parts are not broken (grill, plastic fasteners, front bumper beam, AC condensor, horn, etc) to minimize trips to the dealer.

Will a front bumper from a 01-02 cougar fit a 2000 cougar?

Yes, but there will a much bigger gap between the bumper and the headlights than there was with the stock bumper. Additionally, when equipped with fog lights, the 01-02 bumper had different fog lights, so your new bumper may not come the new ones, meaning you'll have to either find a pair, or live with two great big holes in your bumper, that is of course assuming that the new bumper had fog lights.

Will a 1987 Toyota bumper fit on a 1987 Mazda?

probably not. You have to do some major measuring of the length width and height to see if there is clearance, then check the brackets on the original bumper. if they dont match, try fabricating the old brackets onto the new bumper and you should be good to go. probably not. What is the proper way to remove a driver's door panel on a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix without ruining the fasteners?

On these vehicles it is best to simple replace these fasteners. They are relatively inexpensive. Also, many are not designed to be used more than once. If you use new ones, the door will likely not rattle as much.

Can you interchanger a bumper from a 1989 325is to a 1987 BMW 325e 2dr?

that depends. does your 325e have a aluminum bumper or a plastic bumper? if it has the aluminum bumper, you should order new bumper shocks for an post face-lift 87 model. post 8/87. the reason? the shocks that fit aluminum bumpers are very long, and if u attach a plastic bumper, it will stick out too far. if the 325e has a plastic bumper, then everything will be as easy as detaching and re-attaching your bumper.

How do you change flood lights in a grand Cherokee Laredo 1993?

get in front of the jeep and grab the flood lights and manually angle them all the way down. pull back the rubber gasket covering the brackets that hold them to the bumper. on either side of the bumper bracket is a Phillips headed bolt that can be either unscrewed or ratcheted. two per lamp. now the actual light should be free from the bumper once you remove the two screws. get under the vehicle and unplug the lamp line, you may want to rubber band it off because you will just be using it soon. now replace the lamp, re-attatch new light bracket with the bumper bracket with the old screws, or new ones if supplied. now feed the lines in the bumper and crawl under a plug in the new lights. should be all you need to do.

How do you change the bumper lights on a 1998 jetta?

well, it all depends on what bumper lights you're trying to change. say for example the side markers, you just pop them out, unplug, plug in new ones and pop them back in. the front left/right signals, the same way. pop out, unplug, plug in new ones, pop back in. fog lights are a different story. you got some wiring to do.
