did you check if you had them in the right order, or if the plugs were fouwled? If you did not make a mistake with plug gaps, wire routing, check for a cracked or leaking vacuum hose. Perhaps you accidentally bumped one off its receiving end.
plug wiers or plugs. it could also be somthing with the distributor.
is there a diagram or a picture of the distributor cap and rottor in a 95 ford probe gt 2.5lt
What is your question?
my 1993 probe gt done the same thing with the no spark at the plugs the ignition module was bad i replace the whole distributor and it runs great
A distributor designed for a 95 probe may not be directly compatible with a 96 probe due to potential differences in design, connections, and specifications. It's essential to check the manufacturer's guidelines or specifications for both probes to determine compatibility. If there are differences, an adapter or a specific distributor for the 96 probe may be required. Always consult with a professional or the manufacturer for the best results.
Built into the distributor.
On a 1994 Ford Probe, the distributor adjustment is typically located on the distributor itself. To adjust the timing, you would need to loosen the hold-down bolt on the distributor, which allows for rotation. After achieving the desired timing adjustment, retighten the bolt to secure the distributor in place. Always use a timing light for precise adjustments.
There is a small ignition module (relay) that is built into the distributor that is notorious for burning up.....
yes should work fine might be some diff in plugs that you might have to rewire but should have no proble there are few diff between the 93-94
are you sure its fuel cut out? my probe would not start traced problem to electronics inside distributor had failed [common fault on probe]
I don't know if your 95 GT is anything like my 90 GL, but when I put my new plug wires and distributor in, the correct order was on the side of the distributor itself. If it isn't, it is in the ford probe repair manual, Haynes edition. You can get it at Autozone for 20 bucks. Seems like a lot for a manual, but sometimes it does come in handy. Hope this helps.AnswerI don't know if your 95 GT is anything like my 90 GL, but when I put my new plug wires and distributor in, the correct order was on the side of the distributor itself. Then take one plug wire at a time, and plug them in. On the '93-'97 GT's the ignition coil is part of the distributor. If your coil goes bad you need to change the distributor.
