If the circuit of the panic button is monitored for a break in its circuit, the contacts will be in a N.C. configuration. There will need to be a relay in the circuit that is kept energized by the buttons closed contacts. When the relay drops out, its N.C. circuit contacts will activate the panic buttons load. If the panic button has no monitoring features then the contacts across the button will be wired in the N.O. configuration. When the button is pushed the circuit closes.
there are a number of different types of capacitors, each with its own identification. on common electrolytic capacitors the negative terminal is shorter and the side with the negative terminal is marked with a white line. note that ceremic capacitors are bipolar. ie. it doesnt matter which way they are connected. thse are shpaed like a bean and are commonly brown or green. if in doubt look up the data sheet for the component. just type in the identification on the capacitor into a search engine.

Well VHF is more for long distance and has a longer wavelength. So, it would logically require more power. UHF is more line of sight and has good in building penetration and doesnt require the transmit power that VHF would require.
The ground earth wire serves two purposes: To trip the protection as quickly as possible if theres an out of balanced current or a fault to earth. and to bring the user to the same potential to the earth if there is a fault and the protection doesnt trip. that way because you are at the same potential as earth you will not get electrocuted.
