The Sony Vegas video editing software requires Microsoft Windows XP 32-bit SP2 (SP3 recommended), Windows Vista™ 32-bit or 64-bit (SP1 recommended), or Windows 7. There is no Mac OS X version.
Yes.
Yes, it is Windows-only software.
I think that Sony Vegas is just a Windows download. Correct me if I'm wrong.
not at the moment it just supports windows.
Sony Vegas (and other video editing software effects/transitions) are not compatible/interchangeable with Windows Movie Maker. The only way to use effects produced on Sony Vegas (or other software application) is by importing the finalized/exported clips which already include the effects on them.
Well, there's Sony Vegas, it's higher quality than Windows Movie Maker, but Sony Vegas comes with a trial and after the trial you have to pay. But for Windows Movie Maker, the quality sucks. but it's free.
Sony Vegas 9 Platinum does not, but Sony Vegas Pro does
Sony Vegas and Windows Movie Maker are two different video editing software applications. You can't import a Sony Vegas project file into Windows Movie Maker (or vice-versa).However, once the Sony Vegas video is exported to a Standard file format that is compatible with Windows Movie Maker it can be imported. You can import files with the following file name extensions into Windows Movie Maker to use in your project:Video files: .asf, .avi, dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, .wmv
I use windows movie maker, but some people use Sony Vegas. Movie maker is free but Sony Vegas is about 500 bucks
