click the first video, than right before you click the second one hold shift. that's all on the same layer as you can do it to all the videos and text.

Or Press Ctrl+Shift+Q The same basic ideas apply for audio layers, just select "Audio" instead. The shortcut for adding an audio layer is Ctrl+Q.
if its in the video it should play as long as its right under the video track, if not render the video and see, sometimes this can be trial and error.

Yes! Sony Vegas is a good program for editing movies. I have bought this program during Christmas. I had trials for Adobe Premier, Corel Video Studio, and Sony Vegas. In the end I chose Vegas. My school has bought Corel Video Studio and it was not a good decision. I say get Sony Vegas.
