It could be the early stages of tonsillitis. It's totally treatable, so your best bet might be to get some over-the-counter treatments for now. If it gets worse over the next couple of days, go to the doctors.

∙ 14y agoIt could be a lot of things. Most are benign such as aphthous ulcers and viral infections. Some are more serious like peritonsillar abscess. It could also be coming from the jaw (teeth), sinuses or ear.
