Spacers are the rubber bands that your orthodonist might put in between your teeth before about 2-3 weeks before you get braces. They are usually baby blue. It's kind of like getting braces. They hurt the first day or two, but the pain eventually fades away. Before getting braces, your orthodonist will remove your spacers with a scissor/tweezer like device before adding your braces.
