Use the spacers to change the pulley configuration.
The alternator pulley halves separates when you remove the large retaining nut at the center. More spacers between the pulley halves loosens the belt.
Fewer spacers between the pulley halves TIGHTEN the belt.
Keep the extra spacers under the large washer so you'll have them to adjust the NEXT belt.

I have a 2006 ford five hundred and am having a problem getting the belt tight enough I have the belt on all wheels alternator and belt tensioner properly but I cannot move the belt tension?
This vehcile uses a serpentine belt. The belt tension is set automatically by the tensioner. If the tensioner is stuck and will not apply tension to the belt then it is defective and needs replacing.

You will see the time displayed as military time where 6 PM will show as 18:00. You can set the clock to standard time (with the ignition OFF) by pressing both the H and M buttons. If you now turn the ignition switch to ON, you can press both the H and M button and the temperature will now display as Fahrenheit rather than celsius.Update: this was just tested on a 1999 Beetle and it works.
