The Spanish crown
Amerigo Vespucci was born in Florence, so he probably knew Florentine Italian. The letters he supposedly wrote are in Italian. As he was of Spanish origin, and had lots of business connections with Spain, it is reasonable that he knew Spanish as well.
No. Vespucci only traveled to South America, discovering the mouth of the Amazon river and present-day Brazil. On the other hand, Spanish conquistador Hernan Cortes was the discoverer and eventual conqueror of Mexico.
This is because Columbus thought he had found the East Indies (Asia). Amerigo, the man after whom America is named, discovered that this was not the Indies but a new world. Columbus died in 1506, still believing that he had found the route to the Asian continent.
OKay, one is led to believe that yes, Amerigo Vespucci did in fact meet with Native Americans. He traveled to many established societies, not made by the Europeans. Just think to yourself when Columbus "discovered" the Americas. Then think of the time when Vespucci explored. There was not much time for the Spanish/other countries to colonize in the part of South America he explored. He did say he met people (Im almost positive) therefore, they must have been Native Americans. Thanks for listening I hope this helped! P.S. The stuff in quotes is what I said, its in quotes because I think it looks cool. =)

The Spanish crown
Columbus's navigator Amerigo Vespucci was for whom America was named.
Amerigo Vespucci was born March 18, 1454 in Florence, Italy. When he was a boy he was interested in astronomy and the study of the universe. In 1492, he was sent to Seville, Spain to help Spanish ships get what they needed for their journeys. He supplied Columbus' ships with tools and food on his third and fourth expeditions to the New World
He could not go until Reconquista was over because the monarch didn't want to waste the money.

Columbus, and Italian sailor, was funded by Spain. Another Italian, John Cabot, sailed under the English flag. Vespucci, and Italian explorer, sailed with a Spanish expecition. Magellon, a Portuguese sea captain, was funded by Spain. Hudson, and English captain, sailed on different expeditions under the Dutch and the English flags.
The Treaty of Granada greatly impacted Columbus, as it allowed him to begin his voyages to America. When the Treaty of Granada was settled in 1491 by the Spanish monarchs Ferdinand and Isabella, who now fully controlled the area, and had the funds to support Columbus's expeditions.
In 1512 and he was a spanish explorer
Amerigo Vespucci's letters describing the New World as a distinct continent shifted the perception of the Spanish from initially thinking they had reached Asia to the realization of a separate landmass. His key discovery was recognizing that the lands explored by Columbus were actually part of a new continent, leading to the use of the name "America" in his honor.
