"The purpose of the Ad Altare Dei (to the altar of God) program is to help Catholic Boy Scouts of the Roman Rite develop a fully Christian way of life in the faith community. The program is organized in chapters based on the seven Sacraments. The seven Sacraments are a primary means toward spiritual growth." You will need a trained religious emblems counselor- your church or diocese should be able to help you find one. You will also need the Ad Altare Dei Scout Manual and the Catholic Bible. You can get the manual through your local Scout Shop, the diocese or ScoutStuff.org. Full requirements are available from the National Catholic Committee on Scouting.[linked]
