The starter drive is shot. Replace the starter and hope the ring gear isn't damaged.
generally , cranking an engine is done with igniton where turning is done by hand with the ignition off so as it will not start
If the engine is "cranking" then it is "turning over". Please be more specific.
No, turning the key on and cranking should do the trick.
Check the coil pack, if not that check plug wires.
may be a bad starter..... or if the engine is cranking with no start it could be the ignition wires
What is a cranking system
It caused my GMC Sierra to hesitate on startup. I had to sit there and keep cranking it until it started.
Well, voltage wise, you have a lot going on when your are cranking over the engine, so some flutter, or shake is normal.
the turning torso officially started to be built on Feb. 14, 2001.
Yes. The early models (pre 1910) did. The engine was started by cranking and a dynamo continued to supply current.
Either the gear on the end of the distributor shaft is chewed off or the gear that drives it is . Possibly broken cam.
Cranking the car or starting the car in cold weather can wear out a car battery. You can also wear out the battery by turning the starter over without fuel in the tank.
