Starting problem on 1989 Honda prelude and 1998 Honda accord ex v6 due to moisture in the distributor in rainy or very humid day when starting the engine crank like their is no sparks in the combustio?

This is a very common problem with this vehicles.....you are going to probably need a new cap and rotor......if you just buy the parts, it should cost less than $25.00, but if you have a mechanic do it for you, it should cost at least $45.00 for labor plus the $25.00 for parts....hope this helps

moisture in the distributer will stop it starting. next time this happens, try removing distributor cap, and drying it with a hair dryer.replace cap then se if it starts if this fixes the problem you need to get a new seal for distributor cap to stop moisture getting in
