Using a 1/2 inch breaker bar, rotate the tensioner clockwise to allow the beli to be romoved. Remove the belt from the auxiliary components and carefully release the tensioner. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Disconnect the two electrical connectors from the alternator. Remove the support bracket. On 1991 models or earlier, remove the AIR pump-to-alternator bracket bolt from the alternator. Remove the front lower bolt. Remove the rear lower bolt. on 1991 and earlier models, loosen the AIR pump-to-alternatorbracket bolt on the AIR pump and swing the bracket up and out of the way. Remove the alternator.
