Stock market crash of 1929 was also known as the "Great Crash". This was begining of The Great Depression.
It was called Black Thursday, Black Monday, or Black Tuesday depending on which day you are talking about. Black Thursday was October 24, the actual day the Stock Market crashed. Black Monday and Black Tuesday were the downturn on October 28 and 29, that caused the alarm. The stock market crash continued for another month.

Very good question. I am not sure if the market will crash or not, but I am for sure that the economy is in alot worse situation than most of us know. I would say the probability is certainly very high that a crash will occur. However, I am not sure if it will be in 2009 or 2010. Only time will tell.
before investing in a stock, make sure that you are SURE you want to invest in this stock. never invest in a stock that you only have a "good feeling" about, make sure that you do a lot of research on the stock and have hard concrete evidence that this stock is reliable and strong. the stock market is a funny place, and the stock that's most acclaimed today could crash hard tomorrow. nobody knows what the market does, people can only guess ^^.
Know the market.
To know how to determine what the average stock market return is on a $100 investment you have to know what the return rate is and how long the money is being invested.
I have gotten many answers but most of them say about 13% some are say 12.8%. But I know for sure that around 9.25 million shares were traded in that day!
The Great Depression.
i realy have no idea but i do know that the stock market changed from a bull to a bear market and that's what caused itr to crashWith the amount of money that Australia borrowed from other countries they tried to lower th cost of farmers manufacturers and mining to try and boost the work force!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In my history class since I was little, I have been taught that the stock market crash in 1929 was due to mishandeling of funds and citizens depositing their money in banks and then everyone withdrawing at the same time.
A bull market is one where investors are optimistic about financial growth and that stock prices will continue to climb so the advantage is to the seller and stock prices go up. Just prior to the stock market crash, the market was definitely bull.A bear market is one where investors are pessimistic about the economy and the potential for financial gain, this tends to favor buyers and prices are driven down. A classic example of a bear market followed the Wall Street Crash of 1929 where the value of the Dow Jones Industrial Average's market capitalization dropped 89% by July 1932, marking the start of the Great Depression.

They call it a bear market or a choppy market. In such a market the index does not go up much and remains either range bound or keeps falling. A continuous and severe fall in index is called a stock market crash
