Bad idea. Depending on the amount you are taking, how long, and why there can be a number of withdrawls. Seroquel is a strong medicine, it is possible to quit, but this is best done slowly under the supervision of a psychiatrist.

You could experience adverse events if you quit taking it abruptly. Your doctor will need to taper you off of the medication.

Can you take Lortab with seroquel?

I know an older lady who is actually prescribed 40mg x 3 plus 200mg of Seroquel, but I would NOT recommend doing this. She has been taking these medications for years, and unless your doctor gives the okay, do NOT mix these. Seroquel will knock you on your ass, and not in a good way.

Is Seroquel addicting?

I have been on seroquel for years & my dr. says it's not addicting. However on nights when I forget to take it I always wake up sweating & shaking & also have nausea. I believe it's withdrawal sypmtoms. I would be very careful taking this medication.

How long before the weight gain created by Seroquel is reversed after discontinuation?

I gained 40 pds in three months on seroquel. With me the weight loss began immediatly as well as my hunger pains subsiding. I have been off of it for 2 months and have lost 30 pds. I have been taking seroquel for 5 years. Initially I gained 50 pounds, but after starting a healthy eating programme and gentle excercise the pounds are starting to come off.

i am not sure why u would want to get off lithium quikly or why u would want it out of your body quikly.the fact of the matter is if u r taking lithium the worst possible thing u can do is quit clod turkey. as someone who has been on lithium for several years the side affects and repercusions of suddenly stopping are very bad.

Can the drug seroquel cause sterility in a male?

Definately! It is reported that roughly 30% of all males who take more than 100mg of Seroquel for an extended period of time (6 months-2 years) will become sterile. Seroquel also has been known to shrink the testicles over time and can in some cases cause birth defects. Seroquel can also cause colon infections.

Can lyrica and Cymbalta be taken together?

I have been on Cymbalta (90mg) for a few years and have had severe problems with insomnia. The Ambien that my doctor prescribed me wasn't working, even if I took the highest dosage available. So, she prescribed 25mg Seroquel to help me sleep. It worked, but then I started having what they call Restless Leg Syndrome. I'm not sure if that was caused by the Seroquel alone or the mixture of Cymbalta and Seroquel. Needless to say, I quit taking the Seroquel and my RLS symptoms disappeared. As far as I know, the two can be taken together since my doctor specifically prescribed them both to me.

How do you get rid of constant yawning that was brought on by seroquel.. stopped taking it after a couple of days because of the constant yawning.. just want the constant yawning to go away..?

I've been taking seroquel for nearly three and a half years now. I know exactly what you are talking about. I would have yawning fits after a night that I was already quite tired, and then preceded to take my medication. I would wake up the next day still moderately feeling the effects, with yawning added as well. I also experienced these symptoms when I would take a few more then were prescribed on nights that I found it borderline impossible to sleep. For me the yawning is only present when too much of the medication is taken. You can go back to your doctor and see if you can lower your dose just a tad. If you are not taking seroquel for psychosis or seizures you will be suprised to find that seroquel even at low levels can help greatly with sleep and when coupled with another depression medication its awesome at making your life feel vastly better.
