It is under the driver's seat. You need a page from the service manual to read the codes. If you email me at bob@thedempsters.us, I can get you a PDF copy of the manual.
here is an excellent forum with pics to show you how to flash the codes. it says ecu is found on drivers side, but my ecu was on passengers. it doesn't really matter... as long as you can find ecu you're set. make sure when you cut the wire not to plug it into the 3p connector. it's the 2 prong that you want. the article also has related subjects, such as "ecu reset procedure" (which you'll need to do once you fix the problem). it even has the official codes chart that you will read from. ---hope it helps
There is no obd port. You can peel back the carpet under the passenger foot area and reveal the ecu. From there you can read the led flashes to find out what codes are being displayed.
ECU is directly behind , left front speaker.
Some Haynes manuals have ECU codes
you dont...
my car is not starting
That means an error code has been set in the ECU memory. You need to have the codes read with a OBDII scanner, then look up the reference codes in a manual in the engine controls section. A good scanner will tell you what the codes are. Mine was a loose O2 connector.
