Syed Shershah Bukhari came from Bukhara (Uzbekistan) via Khrassan in Iran then to Noshki in Balochistan and then finally to Mangho Pir Karachi via Hub Nadi (Hub River) around 1695 some sources quote it around 1735.

Syed Shershah was a great saint he came to this region to preach the teachings of Islam. Syed Shershah had and still have thousands of followers and devotees in this region which comprised of mainly Muslims and Hindus as well.

Syed Shershah was a great devotee of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalander and he used to preach under the same tree where Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalander use to preach, which is said to be around 900 years old.

Following his footsteps his to other brothers Syed Fateh Ali Shah and Syed Naseer Shah joined him in Mangho Pir.

Syed Sher Shah had told his followers to bury him 40 feet away from Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalander's Astana and he is Burried there in Mangho Pir.

The is the LandLord and owner of locality in Karachi called "Sher Shah" which is named after him, his son "Syed Umed Ali Shah" is burried in Sher Shah village.

Hazrat Syed Shah Bukhari is also Known as Sher Shah Khurasani ........

Many Slogans are associate with him like

"Sher Shah Sher Zalim Daheer" means Sher shah is loin and tyrant is destroyed.

"Sher Shah Khurasani karay Pathar ko pani" means Sher shah Khurasani can turn stone into water.

His devotees raised that solgan when he struck a stone on floor and spring/fountain of cold sweet water came out from there. He has shown many other miracles.
