I belive it is somewhere on the transmission, *I just replaced the speed sensor on my 93 Chevy Lumina Euro so look on the passenger side right below the alternator on the transmission. One bolt to unfasten, then lift out. Solved our problem of erratic movement of speedometer needle and changes in speed of cruise control, also slowness in accelerating after stopping.

I just bought the instrument cluster out of one with the tach in it out of a junkyard. All of the wiring plugs are identical. Just a couple of screws to remove and three plugs on the back of it. 93 to 97 should be the same.
Well, one US dollar is approximately .7679 Euro. Just take 45,000 and multiply is by .7678, and you will get that amount. 34,548. 93 Euro.
i know this may sound silly but have you checked the transmission fluid? i have a 99 cougar and it was jumping aswell when the fluid was leaking. hope this helps
It is on the throttle plate opposite of the bellcrank.
You can connect it at the ECU. The Tach Signal Colors for each year are: 1990-93: Yellow with Blue Stripe (Position 1H) 1994-97: Black with White Stripe (Position 1H) 1999-05: Green with Orange Stripe (Position 2K)
EGR may not be working.
