check brake light fuse and brake light switch on pedal
check that you have double filament bulbs in tail lights
I'm not a mechanic but I would start by checking the brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder in your engine compartment
Brake Lights that Will Not Turn OffAlthough it's possible there could be other reasons, the most common causes for brake lights to stay on continuously include:The brake light [if mounting position is adjustable] is out of adjustment, orThe brake light switch contacts are fused ["welded"/melted] together, orThe brake light switch is otherwise defective.
check the fuse for the brake lights, they have thier own. also check the brake light switch at the at the top of the brake petal
The running lights have a bad ground.
burnt out lightbulb!
Check the wire which is going inside of the trunk hood to the brake lights.
Blown bulbs, blown fuse, broken or out of adjustment brake light switch.
Check your brake fluid level in your brake master cylinder in the engine compartment and see if it is down.
