∙ 11y agoIf this question is used, it is always the first question. It gives you 20-30 seconds (at most) to capture the interviewer's attention and to set the tone for the rest of the interview.
Thus you must have a prepared and very upbeat response. Start every sentence with "I" and never "we" so that your contributions / skills shine.
"I am very fortunate to have IT skills / secretarial skills / sales skills ... that I acquired during my time at <named> company or ... at the university of <named university>."
"I look forward to the next step which is to work at sales doing customer calls where I feel I can contribute greatly to the company's future."
"I'm very glad to be here to be able to tell you about my work history / experience / job skills etc."
If you got the interviewer's attention, the next question will be "OK so tell me a little more about your ...." and you are off to a great start.
