Best Answer

in 1 word, manipulation.

Articles of Confederation for the win.

Middle/lower class American merchants and farmers drew up 20+ rough drafts in different states representing what they felt were their rights as free men.

The meetings held for these pieces of pre-legislation were open to the public and democratic in their construction.

The constitution that exists now was drawn up in Philadelphia in secret, and the men who attended were rich, land owning, white males.

If you have the time and don't automatically read this as rabid anti American Propaganda go check out those articles of confederation, they show little to no resemblance to the constitution and represent the individual rights of states and men ten fold of what the current constitution does.

You can argue the omg its the Constitution its based on great ideals and principals of our founding fathers from a time when men were Honorable, woman didn't sleep around, and religion actually had substance.

News flash: men were never Honorable, woman always slept around, and religion never had substance.

Our current constitution reflects what we are as men, a farce. beautiful in ideology ugly and manipulatable in reality.

It's just an opinion right? and you can give it a thumbs down and nay-say, believing your point of view is correct and mine is wack but hey...you probably think Lincoln freed the slaves. gg
