A: There are many differences between Greek Orthodox Church and Russian Orthodox Church, so posing the question that broadly is meaningless. Regular Christianity is too heterogeneous if at all useful notion.
Pippa and Joelly are too unsure of the answer, we are doing a project for RS in school and would like to know the answer to this as it would help alot. thanks a bunchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :))
Your question is too general. There are many things that were not a cause of tension between these belief systems. The colour of my dog for instance
Many.Ill explain the history of the church briefly. There was one church called "The Catholic Orthodox Church".It consisted of the Roman church ( found by st.peter),the Greek church (founded by st.andrew),The Coptic church (founded by st.mark),The church of Antioch (not sure founded by who) and The church of Jeruslem (not sure founded by who). It split into Catholic and Orthodox.Catholic "west" and Orthodox "east'.However the Coptic church belongs to the Eastern "Oriental' Orthodox church while the Greek church belongs to the Eastern Orthodox church, they are the same but have a different view on the divinty of christ. The Coptic church believes christ has two natures but united while the Greek church beleives christ has two natures but seperate. After that The western church - the Catholic church had many splits these churches are called Protestant churches which consists of anglicans, baptists and so on. The differences are many, too long to list

* It is wise for a person to try different faiths and also study them on the Internet before deciding on one particular one. The Russian Orthodox Faith is extremely strict. However, in most faiths in the world 'the flesh is weak' is not unheard of. We are human, not perfect and one needs a faith where the God we decide to pray too has forgiveness if a person has a sexual relationship before marriage. Because you mentioned 'you struggle with your flesh daily' you are not ready to commit to an extremely strict religion that forbids you to have sexual contact before marriage. Please read the link regarding the history of Russian Orthodox Faith and where is stands in the modern age: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Orthodox_Church
Your question is too broad... it depends upon which "Protestant" church you refer to. ie: we do not consider the "Orthodox" church to be "Protestant" and recognize their Sacraments. Since Vatican II the Catholic Church has been engaged in dialogue with many church bodies on an individual basis.
The question is not fully correct, ill explain why? The Orthodox Churche(s) and the Roman Church both have apostolic succession therefore they are the same age and can trace their roots to christ. However the Catholic Church wanted to change doctrines, traditions, litrugy etc so they changed the original church and continued to add extra doctrines after the 1054 schism e.g pugartory, immaculate conception etc but the Orthodox Church hasn't changed anything or added any extra doctrines after the 1054 schism. So concluding the Orthodox and Catholic church are equally old but the Orthodox church is older in tradition, beliefs etc
